DRAWINGS
Drawing is the fundamental building block for all my art. Everything I create starts from a sketch.
When I was young, drawing was my drug. I could escape the confines of the classroom, or anywhere I didn’t want to be. It was freedom.
Some of my drawings are tight, some are loose, some are doodles and sketches, and some are finished products. Sometimes it records an idea before it’s lost.
The short distance from the brain to the hand can sometimes produce amazing results.
I love graphite so much that I even use the powdered form on some of my painting frames and sculptures as a polished metallic finish.
Observation, the power of perception, combined with my imagination and motor skills, are the key ingredients that start the journey.
